Le Grand Macabre

A singular staging for a singular opera. With music by Ligeti and libretto by Ghelderode, Le grand macabre has the carnal body as the thread that runs through this extraordinary tragicomedy, where laughter is the only magical spell to conjure up the fear of death.

Exposició Ring/Fura 4.0

the Uffizi Gallery has opened one of its aisles to display some elements scenographic Furer used in the four assemblies of the Ring. The most dramatic is to see how the dragon that holds the treasure of the Rhine now rests at the feet of a fresco with the “Annunciation”

Gotterdammerung

La Fura dels Baus has to Wagner all the wisdom gained. This time the results have exceeded expectations. “Wagner fits well into our philosophy, said Padrissa today would understand the Tetralogy of two ways: predation suicidal in nature, and the man’s identity crisis mediatised”.

The Beat in the Dark

The beat in the dark is the beating of the forest. A show in the center of the Danube river in the city of Budapest, when the night is falling down, when the beasts are moving back.

Orígens

Orígens is a conference-installation where the 30 years of history of La Fura dels Baus are explained with a sample of Accions, the first show of the company premiered in 1984.

Les Troyens

“The Trojans are viruses that enter into our operating system, destroying all the information” well defined Carlus Padrissa scenic director of Hector Berlioz’s opera based on Virgil’s Aeneid, foundational work of the Roman Empire.

RES

RES is a show of small format that is a tribute to that after three decades have been the two most important contributions to the theatrical scene: the acting force and interaction with the audience.
